Wilfred Neneh Addico Joins Makers and Partners as New Advisory Partner
In a significant move to bolster its leadership and service delivery, Makers and Partners (MAP), a renowned audit firm, has officially announced the appointment of Wilfred Neneh Addico as its new Advisory Partner, effective from May 13, 2024. Addico, known for his affable nature and solution-oriented approach, is set to lead the firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Carbon Trading, Forensic Investigations, Cybersecurity, and Technology Audits service lines.
With a rich background spanning over two decades, Addico brings to MAP a wealth of experience and expertise garnered from his extensive work in management consulting. His career has seen him navigate through various advisory service lines across the Telecom, Banking, Health Insurance, and Agriculture sectors, making significant impacts in Ghana, Congo, and Liberia. His engagements with large multinationals have not only showcased his prowess but have also contributed to the sectors’ growth and development.
Before his new role at MAP, Addico was instrumental in leading the Forensic Advisory team at MTN Ghana. His leadership there was pivotal in developing robust policies, processes, and procedures that fortified the company’s systems against fraud, abuse, and misconduct. His efforts were crucial in fostering a strong ethical culture within MTN, ensuring its sustainability and profitability.
Addico’s career also includes notable positions at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Westminster Primary Care Trust in London, United Kingdom, and Discoverytel Ghana Ltd. Furthermore, his role as Team Lead for Assets Verification and validation for the Kpong Irrigation Scheme underlines his versatility and commitment to excellence. This project, funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Ghana Commercial Agriculture Project (GCAP), benefited significantly from his expertise.
An alumnus of the University of Ghana Business School and Leicester University in the United Kingdom, Addico is also affiliated with several prestigious organizations. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and ISACA, which focuses on Information System Auditing, Risk Management, and Governance.
