Hope College Welcomes Five New Members to Board of Trustees
Hope College in Holland, Michigan, has welcomed five new members to its Board of Trustees, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to the leadership team. The college announced the additions on Tuesday, July 23, along with the re-election of two members and the formation of a new executive committee.
The new members include PJ Huizenga, Eric Keen, Steven McMullen, Dara Spearman, and Frances Traisman. Each will serve a three-year term, except for McMullen, who will serve for four years. These individuals bring a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences to the board, ensuring a well-rounded leadership team.
Huizenga, a Hope College alum, is the managing principal at Huizenga Capital Management. Keen, a co-founder of Civitas Growth Partners, has a background in finance and political science. McMullen, a professor of economics at Hope College, brings expertise in economic theory and environmental economics.
Spearman, the owner and medical director of Radiant Dermatology Associates, and Traisman, the senior vice president of sales for the Seattle Mariners, round out the new additions to the board. Both have demonstrated leadership in their respective fields and a commitment to excellence.
In addition to the new members, Andrew Ohm and Laura Paredes were re-elected to serve a second term on the board. The executive committee, led by board chair Stephen Boerigter, will also include Matthew Wixson, Victoria Brunn, Lisa Joldersma, Carol Van Andel, and Ohm.
