This trip was notably extravagant, featuring nine days of island-hopping on a superyacht equipped with a private chef and a team of attendants, as reported by ProPublica. The cost of such an opulent getaway for the Thomases was estimated to exceed $500,000, a bill that was footed entirely by Crow.

Shortly after their Indonesian adventure, from July 18-21, 2019, Justice Thomas was again a guest of Crow, this time in Monte Rio, California. The visit provided Thomas with food and lodging at a private club, believed to be the exclusive Bohemian Grove, an all-male retreat known for its affluent and influential attendees. Both Thomas and Crow are reported to have participated in events at this secretive locale.

This disclosure comes in the wake of increased scrutiny over the justices’ ethical standards, with Thomas reporting trips funded by Crow for the first time last year after they became public knowledge.
