Posted on April 24, 2026

New Board of Directors Appointed at Financial Planner and Accountancy Firm Old Mill

Financial Planner and accountancy firm Old Mill has made significant changes at the top by appointing a new-look board of directors. The new board includes newly-appointed chief executive Mark Neath and managing director Jolyon Stonehouse.

Mr. Neath, who has been with Old Mill for 18 years and has 25 years of experience as a qualified chartered accountant, will be responsible for the firm’s longer-term culture, people, and growth plans. He will lead the company forward, driving its vision and strategic direction.

Mr. Stonehouse, also a chartered accountant and one of the founders of Old Mill, has taken on the role of managing director to allow Mr. Neath to focus on long-term strategy. He will be responsible for the running of the firm and the delivery of the current year’s plan, serving as the link between the operating service lines and the board.

The new board also includes Simon Cole, Paula Hodge, Andrew Vickery, and Jonathan Fox. Mr. Cole, a highly-experienced Chartered Financial Planner and one of the founders of Old Mill, will serve as chair, overseeing risk management and ensuring the company’s strategies align with shareholder interests.

Ms. Hodge, also a Chartered Financial Planner and one of the founders of Old Mill, will represent the wealth management business as head of wealth management, integrating its interests and growth strategies into the company’s overall plans. Mr. Vickery, a chartered accountant and head of the rural service line, will do the same for the accountancy business.

Mr. Fox, the board’s non-executive adviser, will provide an external viewpoint and guide strategic decisions with his wealth of experience in professional services.

Mark Neath expressed confidence in the talented team in place, stating, “This is a period of great change and opportunity in our profession, and I am confident the talented team we have in place will drive Old Mill to new heights, fostering innovation, growth, and continued success.”

Jolyon Stonehouse emphasized the firm’s commitment to robust governance and strategic oversight, stating, “The new structure reflects Old Mill’s commitment to robust governance and strategic oversight and ensures the firm is well-positioned to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.”

Old Mill, currently more than halfway through a five-year plan to double in size, appointed its first chief operating officer last year to expedite growth and develop its operational infrastructure. The new board is poised to lead the firm to further success and help clients achieve their financial goals.
